UC United Competitive Program

Union County United Soccer Club
Union County United is the select competitive soccer program of UCYSA. The purpose of the program is to facilitate player development, by coaching technical ability, tactical understanding, leadership and life skills. Individual player development – not winning games at all costs – is the priority of this program. The objective is to provide a fun and rewarding playing experience, by facilitating positive learning environments and building intentional team cultures, that facilitate whole player development.

The club has provided select competitive soccer in our community since 2009. UC United teams play age group full-sided soccer, and have won multiple competitive league titles and tournaments. The program has provided the youth soccer training for many players who have gone on to excel playing the beautiful game in high school and college. Former UC United players make up the vast majority of the LHS teams who have enjoyed recent success, including the girls team who have won 9 consecutive GOL league titles. Players from our program have been selected for US Soccer regional teams, been named league MVP’s, received high school All-State recognition, and have earned athletic scholarships to play soccer in college.

This program extends beyond teaching soccer skills. It promotes players and coaches to adopt a growth mindset. UCYSA believes in the power of human potential. That players and coaches are not limited by their past experience. That everyone is capable of learning new skills and become the best version of them selves. That a positive attitude and consistent effort are the keys to success. And most importantly, that the game belongs to the players, and that youth sports should be a fun and rewarding experience.

UC United Travel Teams
The UC United travel teams are select competitive soccer teams. There are gender specific 12u and 14u teams, in the fall and spring seasons. Each team will travel to Boise up to four times for Saturday doubleheaders in the Idaho District 3 league, and there will be additional games against available teams from Eastern Oregon and SE Washington. Each team is limited in size, and players are selected for the teams at tryouts.

Travel Team Tryout Information
Players are selected for the teams through an evaluation process at team tryouts, and anyone who is age eligible is welcome to attend. We do our best to include as many players as possible in the program.

Prospective players are encouraged to attend all of the evaluation sessions for their team. Registration fees are $75 per player for the fall season – including the use of uniforms. The registration fee will be refunded for anyone not selected for a team.

All new players must register and provide a copy of their birth certificate at tryouts.

Team Tryout Dates, Times and Locations
Due to Covid-19 there are no tryouts scheduled for the fall 2020 season.
